SATURDAY NOVEMBER 11TH 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM: Certified Well Sampler Class Marriott Courtyard Milwaukee Brookfield
CERTIFIED WELL SAMPLER This class deals primarily with water quality, and provides detailed information relative to wells and well operations. You will learn about a number of issues facing inspectors and theirs client with regard to wells and well water. This includes how wells are constructed, situations which can affect them, and how they function. Additionally there will be information about standard criteria for the collection and handling of water samples, relating to contaminants, health effects, impurities, etc. Topics covered in this class include: What is Drinkable Water?, What is a Vector?, Issues of Cross- Contamination, How Wells Work, Aquifer,Water table, Well Depth,Shallow Wells, Deep Wells, Mechanics, Pressure and Flow, Pumping, Well Types, Well Components, Flow Testing, Identifying Conditions that can Affect Wells and Well Water Quality, Water Quality Analysis, Bacteriological Contamination, Common Chemical Characteristics, Volatile Synthetic Organics, Biological Characteristics, ANSI/NSF Standards, Water Sampling Methodologies, Drinking Water Standards and Abandoned Wells. There will be additional discussion of defects and defect recognition on well water systems and related plumbing systems. At the conclusion of this class, passage of a certifying exam allows participants to use the title “Certified Well Sampler” with confidence. Certificate for 8 NACHI and Wisconsin Continuing Education Units will be provided. COMPLETED |

THURSDAY OCTOBER 5TH at 5:30 PM The third in a series of 4 informal chapter meetings designed to offer Wisconsin NACHI members details on the process of getting our chapter chartered with the National Association so we may operate under NACHI's non-profit status. We will also be discussing our November seminar event and future events and chapter meeting schedules. We are creating a core group of people willing to put in about 1-2 hours a week of work. TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 19TH at 7:00 PM : The first in a series of 4 informal chapter meetings designed to offer Wisconsin NACHI members details on the process of getting our chapter chartered with the National Association so we may operate under NACHI's non-profit status. This will enable us to open a bank account and utilize funds collected from events to promote our members and fund day to day operations. TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 26TH at 7:00 PM: The second in a series of 4 informal chapter meetings designed to offer Wisconsin NACHI members details on the process of getting our chapter chartered with the National Association so we may operate under NACHI's non-profit status. We will also be discussing future educational events and chapter member promotion.
