"Structural Composite Technology for Foundation Repairs and Stabilization"

With Todd Jackson of "Fortress Stabilization Systems" Detroit, MI
and Dave D'Amour of "The Crack Team" Waukesha, WI

A unique technology for basement foundation repair using
a combination of Carbon fiber, Kevlar and epoxy. Todd Jackson
and David D'Amour will be presenting the science behind this
technology and the installation methods.

The most common methods for stabilizing these bowed walls have
been the use of steel I-beams or tiebacks. Although these steel
support systems can be effective, Jackson says they have certain
drawbacks that many homeowners find unacceptable.

Not only are the repairs labor-intensive and disruptive, they are also
virtually impossible to conceal. About seven years ago, Jackson
began experimenting with the use of carbon fibers to address many
of the common problems and shortfalls of using steel. These repairs
are in many homes today, commercial buildings, and on concrete
bridges throughout the USA.

The use of Carbon fiber for basement repair is not new but has
recently become of interest to many as carbon fiber repair is
substantially faster and lower priced than common repair practice.
This is an opportunity for you to learn how this process works and
to be able to provide your clients a cost effective alternative to
common basement problems.
